GENA A. KAPLAN B.S.W., M.S.W., L.C.S.W. is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago Jane Addams College of Social Work with a Master's degree in social work. Gena has 13 years of experience providing individual and family counseling to hospice patients and their families assisting them with adjustment to life transitions, caregiver coping, as well as providing grief counseling and bereavement support to family members of terminally ill patients. Areas of interest also include assisting individuals with anxiety and associated mood disorders with maximization of positive coping and self sufficiency through inner directedness training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existentialism, Mindfulness Meditation, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  Other areas of interest include couples and family counseling.
